From the creator

For the last 15 years, I have talked to truck and vehicle owners about their various problems. For over a decade as a fully certified dealer technician and then as a shop owner. Truck Triage was born from these conversations. People consistently were telling me how they just wanted someone to be honest with them and how much they appreciated our honesty.

The truth is valuable, but one of the problems with today’s automotive repair facilities is that the truth is also ugly. The reality is, trucks break down, often, and for a variety of reasons.  At Truck Triage we want to prevent that. But we also live in the real world and know that trucks break.  So we seek to provide services that will reduce the impact a breakdown has on your work or vacation. If I had the resources to train and expand my personal truck repair business and more shops were honest and competent, then Truck Triage would not need to exist.

However we have to deal with reality, and the reality is that the majority of truck owners feel overwhelmed with the complexity of their truck and have nobody they can turn to when they have questions.  Honest mechanics are getting burned out.  The internet could provide that help but it is now so saturated with so much unverifiable content that researching a question will often just leave you with more questions.

The alternative is this: we can be your “family mechanic”, the one you can contact when you need an honest answer or opinion.  We can also help you decipher the information you find on the internet and/or things that automotive repair shops spew at you in an effort to make a sale.

How we differ from roadside assistance companies:

  • They assume you can’t do anything yourself so you have to wait for someone (who might not be much better help than you)
  • They outsource their services so they have virtually no quality control
  • They assume people only care about money and not the time lost, so they can take hours or days!
  • They just want to reimburse you for whatever happened instead of help you avoid it or get back on the road faster
  • They don’t know anything about trucks!
  • They don’t accept commercial vehicles

Community

  • We unite truck owners from all over the country because we all have a common enemy: truck problems.
  • Our community differs from other social media and forum type websites because it is not free, which means it is not ad supported, which means we don’t have to sell your personal information or bombard you with ads in order to stay in business.  Which means you get a clear path to the solution because we have weeded out all nut jobs who think they are master mechanics.
